Your support helps us to work for change that impact survivors of sexual violence. Meaningful action we are working on right now...
- We speak up with and for survivors of sexual violence, bust victim-blaming myths, and work to reduce stigma facing those who have been sexually violated.
- We speak to the media about myths and misconceptions that survivors face, the facts about reporting and conviction rates in Canada, and the needs of survivors in local communities.
- We partnered with Centre for Research on Violence Against Women and Children and George Brown College's Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate Program to develop sexual violence training for professionals. This initiative will develop a training curriculum for professionals who may come into contact with sexual assault survivors. The curriculum will be informed by professionals from various sectors such as education, criminal justice and community workers, as well as guidance from a Survivors of Sexual Violence Advisory Group
- We lead a project, in partnership with Springtide Resources and METRAC, to adapt our Draw The Line campaign to better support marginalized survivors of sexual violence. This project considers women or girls who are statistically at greater risk of being targeted for sexual violence, and women who experience greater barriers when trying to get support
